Women always have to face the gender equality, in any country. There will always be some problem regarding the topic gender inequality between men and women was socially constructed and has existed for only about 6000 years (page no.293). From thousand years ago, the society characterised by patriarchy. A system in which power is in the hands of men and many aspects of women’s life controlled by men. However, 20th century started to change everything and we saw lots of change even now. Society began to change their thinking. In future, I believe that we will see gender equality, not inequality. There are three types of feminist and they are Liberal Feminism, Socialist Feminist and Radical feminist. Liberal feminism means that equal opportunities for women in the area such as education and employment, more sharing of domestic rights between men and women, and equal legal rights in politics (page no.295). Socialist feminists regard women’s relationship to the economy as the primary source of women’s disadvantage. They want to eliminate the private property and the creation of economic equality can bring about an end to the oppression of all women. Because in socialist feminism view women as oppressed by both the male-dominated character of society and capitalist system (page no.295). In that system even if the women take care of the households works and take care the child, it was unpaid work for society. Society thinks that its women works and they have to do. Socialist feminists argue about women liberation because it involves the struggle against patriarchy and transformation of capitalism (page no.295). In this feminism, women want to achieve the freedom. Radical Feminism finds the reforms proposed by liberals and the revolution introduced by the socialist to be inadequate.
